Crowbar's remasters out in April!

Crowbar's remasters out in April!

Crowbar is nowadays considered a living legend of the New Orleans? metal scene, with each release being a masterpiece of sluggish, extremely heavy doom-core sounds, put together in the darkest form known to man. And today Metal Mind Productions presents the re-release of 3 Crowbar?s album: ?Crowbar?, ?Time Heals Nothing? and ?Live+1? EP.

What makes a band truly unique and unforgettable? Obviously there is the music and the songs that for years echo in our minds. This may be followed by a strong, recognizable image or some stunning live performances. While all these factors might just be the case, there is still one more thing worth mentioning, being perhaps the most important factor of all? It?s the honesty, the sincerity, the passion ? the thing that transforms bands into legends. And whatever you might try to call it, you will certainly find it in Crowbar - one of the heaviest and most inspiring doom-core groups ever to walk the face of the planet. Crowbar is nowadays considered a living legend of the New Orleans? metal scene, with each release being a masterpiece of sluggish, extremely heavy doom-core sounds, put together in the darkest form known to man. And as time passes, the band gets better and stronger?.

And today Metal Mind Productions presents the re-release of 3 Crowbar?s album: ?Crowbar?, ?Time Heals Nothing? and ?Live+1? EP.

"Crowbar" - a self-titled second album from 1993 on which Crowbar once again delivers a solid amount of harsh, gloomy material. The album was recorded with a new guitarist, Matt Thomas, and produced by none other than Pantera?s Phil Anselmo, who managed to fully bring out all the best that the group had to offer. Each of the ten tracks found on the album reeks with a muddy New Orleans vibe and crushes the listener with an extremely raw and heavy sound. ?Crowbar? to this day remains one of the band?s best and most honored releases. Songs such as ?Holding Nothing?, ?Existence Is Punishment?, ?I Have Failed? and the phenomenal cover version of Led Zeppelin?s ?No Quarter? showcase the sheer essence of doom-core, conjoining slow and heavy music with some truly dark and depressive lyrics by Windstein, who screams them out with genuine grief and pain. New digipak edition is limited to numerated 2000 copies, digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on golden disc.

Crowbar?s ?Live + 1? is a truly exceptional offering, and quite a rarity among the group?s other releases. Put out on March 29th, 1995, the EP covers five tracks from Crowbar?s self-titled album from 1994 (which to this day is considered one of the group?s best recordings) and one studio track, which would later in the future resurface on the ?Time Heals Nothing? LP from 1996. ?Live + 1? showcases the group in their most natural environment ? recorded at the New Orleans Music Hall on February 21st, 1994, the first five tracks are a perfect representation of Crowbar?s unique skills, delivering classic performances of some of the band?s most memorable songs. This EP clearly proves that each of Crowbar?s shows was an experience not to miss out on. New digipak edition limited to numerated 2000 copies, digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on golden disc.

?Time Heals Nothing? is Crowbar?s third studio album from 1995. This time the music was a bit faster, revealing more hardcore-influenced ideas. But the overall heaviness remained untouched ? Crowbar still delivered a crushingly overwhelming sound, with songs such as ?Through a Wall of Tears?, ?A Perpetual Need? and the title track proving that the band has no competition when it comes to doom-core. For many fans, ?Time Heals Nothing? remains Crowbar?s most defining album, perfectly balancing all the group?s main ingredients, which form their unique style. New digipak edition includes bonus tracks - 4 audio and 2 video. Limited to numerated 2000 copies, digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on golden disc.

All titles will be released by Metal Mind Productions on 21st April 2008 (in Europe only!).
