Omnium Gatherum are without question one of the most inspiring modern melodic death metal groups around. Throughout the years they managed to release four full-length albums, with each strengthening their position on the European metal scene. The re-editions of their debut album ?Spirits And August Light? and the follow-up ? ?Years In Waste?, bring a powerful dose of death metal brutality coupled with beautiful and enchanting melodies?

?Spirits And August Light? released  in April 2003 featured all the best elements of the group?s style, forged throughout the years into perfection. Right from the opening track ?Writhen?, the LP explodes with a flood of brutal guitar riffs and dazzling melodies, underlined with delicate keyboard synths. The group decided not to follow the typical melo-death scheme ? harsh vocals in verses and melodic ones in choruses. Instead they kept the original death metal aggression, in the same time emphasizing the atmosphere of the music. The result was truly astounding ? songs such as ?Son?s Thoughts?, ?The Emptiness Of Spirit?, ?The Perfumed Garden? and the ending track ?It Shines? introduced a whole new quality of melodic death metal, delivering music both powerful and full of melancholy. The press rewarded the band with a handful of positive reviews, often making ?Spirits And August Light? the album of the month. What is more, Omnium Gatherum became the first Finnish group to score 5/5 in Kerrang! magazine, while Metal Hammer wrote about them: ?If Opeth are the Pink Floyd of this scene, then Omnium are likely to turn into Rush at the very least?. This exclusive re-edition of Omnium Gatherum?s debut LP is enriched by the brilliant EP ?Steal The Light?.
The follow-up album - ?Years In Waste? (2004) - showed a definite progress in the band?s music, delivering a more technical approach towards melodic death metal. More detail was also given to the production, especially the keyboard parts. The guitars, on the other hand, were now taking a lot from traditional metal as well, which definitely improved the songwriting formula. ?Years In Waste? remains a must-have album for all fans of melodic death metal and one of the finest releases in Omnium Gatherum?s career. This exclusive re-edition includes 6 bonus tracks!

Both album are digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on golden disc and limited to 2000 numerated copies. Metal Mind Productions will release them on 18th August 2008 in Europe and 28th October 2008 in USA (via MVD).
