What makes a band truly unique and unforgettable? Obviously there is the music and the songs that for years echo in our minds. This may be followed by a strong, recognizable image or some stunning live performances. While all these factors might just be the case, there is still one more thing worth mentioning, being perhaps the most important factor of all? It?s the honesty, the sincerity, the passion ? the thing that transforms bands into legends. And whatever you might try to call it, you will certainly find it in Crowbar - one of the heaviest and most inspiring doom-core groups ever to walk the face of the planet. The band is nowadays considered a living legend of the New Orleans? metal scene, with each release being a masterpiece of sluggish, extremely heavy doom-core sounds, put together in the darkest form known to man.

Metal Mind Productions presents the exclusive re-releases of Crowbar's two albums - ?Odd Fellows Rest? and ?Sonic Excess In Its Purest Form?.

?Odd Fellows Rest? (1998)
One of Crowbar?s most extraordinary releases. The album started off with a true Crowbar classic ? ?Planets Collide? ? a slow-paced and extremely melodic tune, which showcased the band?s incredible progress. The rest of the material was kept in the typical Crowbar fashion, with the exceptions of ?Scattered Pieces Lay? and ?Behind the Black Horizon? (both of which featured melodic dual vocal tracks), as well as two tracks clearly inspired by southern metal: ?New Man Born? (sounding like a heavier Down tune) and ?Odd Fellows Rest? (comparable to? Black Sabbath?s ?Planet Caravan?!).
New edition includes a hidden bonus track.

?Sonic Excess in Its Purest Form? (2001)
Their seventh album was yet another successful step in the band?s career, bringing eleven tracks of mind-crushing doom-core insanity. Starting off with the ultra slow opener ?The Lasting Dose? (considered by many fans a signature song for Crowbar), ?Sonic Excess in Its Purest Form? takes the listener through an emotional path of pain and depression. With such highlights as the punkish ?Failure To Delay Gratification?, the sorrowful ?Thru The Ashes (I?ve Watched You Burn)? and the beautiful instrumental ?In Times of Sorrow?, the album became another epic masterpiece in Crowbar?s discography.

Both albums will be available in a new digipak edition, each limited to 1000 copies. Digitally remastered using 24-Bit process, released on a golden disc. The release date is scheduled for 2nd November (Europe only).
