The exclusive re-issue of two albums by One Man Army and the Undead Quartet
With a name like One Man Army and the Undead Quartet you shouldn't expect anything less than pure sonic Armageddon and this is exactly what this band delivers. Under the command of Johan Lindstrand (ex-vocalist of the legendary death metal act The Crown), this metal monstrosity proves that old-school thrash and melodic death metal can easily be combined into a perfect blend of sheer aggression and top notch musicianship. Metal Mind Productions presents the exclusive reissues of ?21st Century Killing Machine? (2006) and ?Error in Evolution? (2007) ? the band's first two LPs ? which are all the proof you need to get sucked into the world of ultimate metal annihilation!
The group's formation was a direct result of the disbandment of Lindstrand's previous act ? The Crown. The band?s debut demo entitled ?When Hatred Comes To Life? was released in early 2005, granting Lindstrand's and his crew a deal with Nuclear Blast Records. Under this flag the band recorded their stunning debut album called ?21st Century Killing Machine?, which landed in stores on January 6th, 2006. The group's debut offering proved to be a big success on the European metal scene, receiving great reviews and top scores in the press. The band soon found themselves on tour supporting Children of Bodom and later playing shows with such renown acts as Soilwork, Hypocrisy and Amorphis. They celebrated the end of the year with releasing the bizarre yet brilliant anti-Christmas single called ?Christmas for the Lobotomizer?. The year 2007 brought One Man Army and The Undead Quartet's second LP entitled ?Error in Evolution? (the album was released on March 7th). This time it was more of a group effort rather than Lindstrand's solo work. As he summed it up in an interview for Heavymetal.about.com: ?Now the band has been together for two years and everyone was involved in the songwriting process. We have much wider influences coming from all directions. The songs have more melody and catchiness.? Indeed, the material on ?Error in Evolution? proved to be more melodic and experimental than that on the debut record. It also included a surprising cover of ?He's Back (The Man Behind The Mask)? by... Alice Cooper! The album was very well received by the fans, who strongly appreciated the group's musical progress. ?Error in Evolution? was promoted in Europe with an extensive tour alongside Gorefest. In 2008 One Man Army and the Undead Quartet returned with their third album called ?Grim Tales?, released by Massacre Records.
?21st Century Killing Machine? and ?Error in Evolution? will be available in new digipak editions, each limited to 2000 copies. Both albums include bonus tracks. The material was remastered using tube technology, digitally edited on a golden disc. Metal Mind Productions set up the release date for November, 22nd in Europe and January, 11th 2011 in USA (via MVD).
